Truc & Thang were introduced to each other through relatives. Their families were neighbors in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She moved from Texas and braved her first brutal Minnesota winter to be with him – now that’s love!
They will have a traditional Vietnamese wedding tea ceremony. By popular Vietnamese practice, a couple gets their bride and groom pictures taken in advance of their wedding date. This is called “hinh ngoai canh” in Vietnamese, which means scenic pictures. It’s the equivalent of an engagement shoot in American culture.
(If you watch Korean drama or have lived in an East Asian country, you know how this works.)
Needless to say, they were wearing the best outfits for this engagement photo shoot! These pictures were taken during the golden hour at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on a beautiful day. We were blessed with 70 degree weather in April.
